SPECIALLY FORMULATED FOR SENSITIVE, YOUNG PALATES.
ECHINACEA. THE SAFE, NATURAL COLD & FLU-FIGHTER - NOW
IN A MILD-TASTING SYRUP FOR KIDS
All the world knows of the powerful efficacy of Echinacea
(Echinacea purpurea), Purple Coneflower, as the supreme
natural antibiotic and universally trusted cold and flu-fighter.
But, to date only grown-ups were able to enjoy the benefits.
For sensitive young palates the somewhat harsh taste and
often strongly alcohol-based character were a big no-no.
LIGHT,
MILD & GENTLE
The innovative, new Echinacea syrup has been carefully formulated
for children from under six years to early teens. (It may
also be used by adults who cannot tolerate the strength
of a conventional tincture.) Although pleasantly mild to
the taste, the syrup still offers all the natural soothing
and protective benefits that kids need to ease the miseries
of sneezing and wheezing, sniffles, blocked noses, runny
noses, scratchy throats, fevers and infections.
INCREASES
RESISTANCE
For centuries, Echinacea has been successfully used in Europe,
to treat fevers and infections, and even more serious conditions
such as typhoid, meningitis and malaria. Since the 1930's,
European-based research has gone on to show todayÕs
world that echinacea is a safe, natural antibiotic, often
more powerful than modern medications.
CLEARS
MUCUS, SUPPORTS LYMPH- CLEANSING
Echinacea appears to act as the body's own anti-viral defence
by increasing the power of the surrounding cells to fight
off infection. Used during times of stress, Echinacea helps
to strengthen the immune system, making it easier to knock
out colds, flu and other infections. Echinacea is also enormously
helpful in breaking down stored lymph mucus. As a great
deal of waste is released into the bloodstream when the
body is under attack, Echinacea acts as an excellent lymph-cleanser.
WHY
DO CHILDREN CATCH COLDS?
Young children are extremely vulnerable to colds. Experts
say that the very young can catch anything from five to
as many as ten colds a year. Kiddies catch colds because
their immune systems are not fully developed, so they cannot
fight-off colds as well as adults do.
Add to that, the fact that young children are not hot on
handwashing (and it's also virtually impossible to keep
their finger's away from noses and eyes). Because of this,
parents and childcare workers catch more colds than other
adults. However, there is an up side. With time, defences
do improve and everybody catches fewer colds. In certain
studies, it emerged that young children in daycare programmes
had 60% more colds than those at home. But, the daycare
kids eventually scored with major big gains in immunity.
WHAT
CAN YOU DO TO HELP?
1. Try to encourage young cold victims to take it easy.
Chances are that the virus will make them feel tired and
grouchy anyway. So coax them to cosy up with colour-in books
and low-action games.
2. Hot drinks warm the throat and hamper the increase of
the virus. Keep the hot drinks coming - warmed fruit juices
mixed with hot water, chamomile tea and honey, or echinacea
& rosehip tea with honey. These comforters also help
to ease sniffling and wheezing. HINT: Go easy on the intake
of dairy products as they are tremendous mucus producers.
3. Echinacea syrup for children is extremely helpful in
clearing colds and strengthening the immune system. It acts
quickly to soothe and comfort.
